Two months later, a trail of evidence lead investigators to a remote region of Mexico where Mark was one of a dozens victims of ritual satanic sacrifice and cannibalism.

So, Natalee's family calls in the FBI. After five years of rumors and false leads, investigators finally piece together the grim truth of what happened to Natalie that night: she'd been murdered and the crime covered-up. In the end, the FBI brings her killer to justice.

Daytona Beach, Florida. In May, 1993, while on spring break with 3 friends in Daytona Beach, 20-year-old Christine Lazzaro is spotted leaving a nightclub with an unknown male. Nine hours later, she turns up shot to death at the side of a road. No signs of a struggle, assault, or robbery are apparent, leaving police with only a .38 caliber shell casing and some tire tracks to go on. After finding Christine's friends who themselves are now wondering where she is, they can only provide a vague description of the man Christine left with. Police are now left with hundreds of potential suspects, and in a town where vacationers are constantly coming and going, there may be precious little time to find Christine's killer before he disappears forever.
