Ali Akarsu is a sea captain that is constantly away from home, in Istanbul, Turkey. what keeps his family of four children together is his long time partner and wife Cemile. After a long voyage, Ali is to return home. Although everything is picture perfect on the surface Alis is perceived to be restless. His eldest son, Mete's, school problems arises a mask of fury which is relinquished in the house, not helping his relationship with Berrin, his first born,; but everything will irrevocably change after Cemile's discovers a letter written in another language in his jacket.

Cemile finds out about Ali & Caroline's secret relationship and has to make big decisions. Meanwhile, Berrin takes a big risk in order to help a friend. Elsewhere, Aylin sneaks off to a party and meets an interesting fella.

Cemile is jailed after Caroline's confession. Grandmother Hasefe and the children are shaken with the news. Berrin accepts Ahmet's hand, not realising the dangers she opened herself up to. Ali is furious with Caroline. She accepts to retract her statement if only Ali will do something for her. Ali decides to talk to Berrin, instead getting kicked out of his home. He offers the solution to Cemile, to be struck down again. Berrin opts to meet the lawyer Ahmet found, to be attacked by Ahmet's enemies

To everyone shock Ali keeps his promise and brings Caroline to the Akarsu household. The children leave home with Grandmother Hasefe to their uncle Kemal Akarsu's house. Cemile is lying in the jail hospital. Aylin's decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her mother. The children are left heartbroken - yet again.

Cemile's excited to finally be with her loving family to be devastated with the scene she sees. She kicks Alis and Caroline out of her marriage house not before Caroline leaving an intimate object in her marriage bed. Neriman supports the lovers, opening her home to them; leaving Grandmother Hasefe to make a choice between her two families. After the boycott in her university Berrin decides to find the AWOL Ahmet. Someone else is also following her steps to him. Aylin is intrigued by the mysterious Soner, letting him play an innocent game with her. Cemile keeps her promise, arrives to the court house to finalise her divorce, but Ali is nowhere to be seen

Conflict arises at the school due to a rumor concerning Mete & Engi. Meanwhile, Ahmet has to turn to Hakan for help when Berrin's life is in danger.

While distraught with the idea of telling the children Ali's throwing them out to the street, Cemile discovers Aylin's secret, not long after learning Mete's school troubles. Ahmet takes action to talk to Berrin, instead finding himself face to face with little Osman. Hakan's father is threatened by the right-wing siders. Cemile tries to fix Mete's problems at his school to face yet another surprise. Aylin leaves everything to hear Soner's offer. The Akarsu family see the on-going development on their new land; their new place of 'home'. Furious that his ex-wife and children are refusing to move out of his home Ali uses police enforcement, leaving Mete to do everything in his power to stop his family being destroyed.

Surrounded by flames Captain Ali is in a great shock. For Mete, this moment is the no turning point. Outside Cemile is distraught for her oldest son, finally running inside to save him. News of the disaster reaches the ear of Ahmet, Hakan and Soner .

Episode #1.15

Ali's bullheaded choices leave Cemile and the children haphazard. Cemile has to make a choice between her two sons. While in Soner's household, Murat's health degenerates quickly, leaving Soner to face Aylin again. Hakan is angered by Berrin's and Ahmet's closeness. Cemile's new household is threatened by strangers

Berrin and Mete react really strongly towards Cemile's actions. Mete doesn't stop and starts planning ahead. Berrin makes a trip to Samsun for a political protest. Caroline's focuses her anger towards Cemile, who's got a secret. Someone attempts to kidnap Aylin
