Frank Boone and Johnny Miller are social directors at a summer resort which caters primarily to the wealthy. JW, Woodrow, and Dorothy are fellow employees with Dorothy dating Johnny. Activities and misadventures with the guests are chronicled.

With Mr. Harrington away Johnny is put in charge. Any idea of smooth running of the lodge is upended by Woodrow who learns girlfriend Cecililia and her mother arriving. Woodrow is put in the executive office to impress the visitors.

Frank and Johnny recall for their friends getting their current positions at the resort. It involved first cross country travel then arriving and find others hired for the jobs they expected to get.

Johnny and Frank are both a little starstruck when child actress Heidi Velour books a resort vacation. The two fall for Heidi's charms unaware she's planning on relieving them of their paychecks.
