In-nim sneaks into Yeong-ji's room as she sleeps, removing a piece of paper from her clothes. After reaching chamiheonguk, the King declares independence from Yuan. In-nim approaches Yeong-ji in private; she offers to marry him in exchange for his protection.

The soldiers locate Dong Yoon. There is a big chase all throughout the village. It turns out all that Dong Yoon was carrying was a cat. The soldiers do not follow him. The princess will not accept the baby from the High Priestess. The princess lets the High Priestess take the baby away.

Posing as the girl's brother, Ji-sang rescues the girl from her guards and they escape into the forest. The king and queen are threatened, but Choi Young and his army save them in the nick of time. Later, Moo-young follows Seong-gye to Ji-sang's location, and aims his bow.
