Lucy and Dick start with a physical comedy sketch set in "The New You Shop." Dick's monologue demonstrates the differences 'The Family Hour' has on programming. Lucy plays a fading TV star who won't allow Dick to tell her that her show is canceled. Andy Kaufman interrupts Dick and Lucy to do his impressions. Dick and Lucy play an elderly couple celebrating their 40th anniversary in a sketch where she continually tries to kill him to get her inheritance. Lucy and Dick are tourists trying to take the perfect photograph in a tropical setting. The Lockers perform a dance act which Dick joins in. Dick plays a long-haired Maestro conducting dancers as if they are an orchestra. Dick Van Dyke expresses his appreciation to Lucy in song.

In this Christmas special we have song numbers and skits including: a wife who's big husband comes home to find Dick and a friend with her alone, fighting Santa's, and a special gift under the Christmas tree -- Andy Kaufman.
