Esther, Raimundo's mother is very anxious when Augusto confides in her his biggest secret. Rosita, Ivana's sister gets a job.

Cristina is walking on eggshells around her co-workers because of Rafael's sudden arrival. Augusto thinks about Sonia's request to return to her and Roberto urges him to clarify things from Cristina's past. Raimundo is crazy jealous when he bumps into Ivana and Ernesto at the pier. Patty lies to Jenny that Tony is blackmailing her. Victor is very sad to learn of Sonia's diagnosis. Ricky asks Laura to put the wedding plans on hold.

Augusto shares with Esther everything that Victor told him regarding Rafael and on top of it all, he notices the ring he gave Cristina on Esther's finger. Ivana tells Eduardo she'll become a model and he explains his old fashioned views about marital life. Ernesto has dinner with Patty, Ricky and Laura and won't shut up about the new potential model he found. Herminia interrogates Leopoldo regarding the bank account on his name.

Roberto is very worried about Leopoldo's disappearance and informs the police.

Ivana cuts short the festivities for her engagement when Esther's presence is unwanted and the news of Raimundo's car crash. Victor is ready to pull a lot of money into the furnishing company but Augusto is against it and the talks quickly take a turn from business into personal matters. Roberto concludes that Herminia killed Leopoldo. Herminia and Patty threaten and fire the nurse. Cristina learns about Sonia's illness.

Herminia is furious with Roberto when he accuses her of killing Rosita. Ivana asks Eduardo for forgiveness, clarifies to him her feelings, also the nature of her relationship with Ernesto. Cristina declines Victor's financial support. Sor Serena leaves the monastery.

Patty's in labor but there are some complications. Rafael is astonished to see Serena and they have coffee together. Ivana breaks up her engagement of being a model and tells Eduardo her idea of opening a clothing store. Augusto, Herminia and Esther are having difficulties swallowing Victor's announcement that Ricky sold to him his shares and now they belong to Cristina.

Raimundo confronts Sonia and Augusto to deliver his decision that since his daughter was stillborn, he won't return to Patty. Ivana is worried by the change in Eduardo and ensures Ernesto she won't be a model anymore. Jenny tells Tony of Patty's decision to sue him for incompetence.

Eduardo pays Rafael's bail and orders him to kill Raimundo. Patty begs Sonia to ask Raimundo to return to her when suddenly Sonia feels unwell. A woman arrives at the police station to report a baby, found on the links. Raimundo feels betrayed by his parents and learns from Tony and Jenny that Patty simulates grief for their lost child in order to keep him by her side. Ivana looks after Cristina, who awaits news.

Cristina is baffled when the two most important men in her life beg her for forgiveness. Santiago decides to leave his shares from the company to Raimundo and quit. Herminia ends up behind bars for her crimes. Sonia is forgiven. Ricky and Rosemary visit Patty in the psychiatric clinic. Augusto proposes to Cristina.
