Episode #1.1

Zhuang Rui was a staff of Linghe Pawn Shop. One day, he returned to the shop from a party to get his phone. Some masked robbers slipped in the shop and tried to get something. They shot casually and Zhuang's eyes were scratched by the debris of an art ware. The next day, he woke up in a hospital and found that he could see through all the things. He didn't even need his glasses anymore. Meanwhile, Miao Feifei who was a detective thought that the robbery of the pawn shop had something to do with the case she was investigating. She thought Zhuang might be involved.

Episode #1.2

Zhuang and Huangfu Yun went to Panjiayuan Market together. Zhuang surprisingly saw through a wooden gourd with a katydid inside which was made in the ancient time. Qin Xuanbing, a girl from a rich family wanted to get the katydid after Zhuang bought it. The rich man with him who was called Xu Wei paid 800 thousand to Zhuang for buying both the katydid and the gourd for her. Meanwhile, Miao and Gu Dingyu were in Panjiayuan with Gu Tiangfeng who was an expert of antique appreciation, Dingyu's grandpa. They were trying to find out the secrets behind the broken jade eye but found nothing. Miao found that Boss Yu were following them and then started to chase him. Zhuang accidentally stopped her. Later, the jade eye was taken by a bunch of people.

Zhuang and Yun joined a private sale. Zhuang saw through a copy of a famous paint and found that the authentic work was covert by the copy. With the help of Fatty Ma who was very rich, he bought the paint in a low price and earned 5 million yuan from Ma. After that, they became good friends. Meanwhile, Miao found that the robbers might from Gansu. She decided to go there with Xiao Zhao. But accidentally, Zhuang was invited to attend his friend's wedding in Gansu. He thought he could find something about his ability of seeing through things according to the book Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio.
