Eugene Gurkin had always wanted to open his own bar, yet never had the money to do it. After one of his co-workers dies, Eugene comes up with the idea to pull together a team, dubbed The Knights of Prosperity, and rob a famous celebrity's apartment.

The Knights want to rent the expensive apartment next to their new target, and to raise the rent money, they kidnap Louis with hopes his wealthy father will pay the ransom.

Upon hearing comedian Ray Romano is in possession of an expensive diamond ring, the Knights plot to steal his safe.

The Knights of Prosperity hire an ex-con to help them open Ray Romano's safe and get the diamond ring out.

Eugene suggests that they try to embezzle money from Ray Romano's film company, and the first step is to get Louis a job there by helping him make a movie.
