Ida has problems getting a job after being fired from Bella, which she can look after at the same time as her school - but Erik, who can't get Ida out of his head, gives her a helping hand in his own, not very lucky, way. Kaj Holger also has problems - Søs lives a much more dissolute and free life than he likes, while Erik continues to bother him with his ideas about producing television. At home with Børge, Palle does what he can to help his father over the loss of his mother - and then Palle is approached by Søs, who needs his help.

Love blossoms between Ida and Erik - but Erik is too busy, in Ida's opinion, and it leads to a breakup. Later, Ida gets some surprising information about Erik from Kaj Holger - and then she has to go home to Ringkøbing and talk to her parents about a serious problem. Søs gets an invitation from a well-known actor that she cannot resist, and decides to try her hand at the theater. Finally, Palle manages to meet his role model Jens Otto Krag, who gives him an assignment - while Søs gets the opportunity to repay Palle's great helpfulness.
S1 • E4
Ida and Erik have gotten married and will soon be parents - but Ida has to finish her exams first. At the same time, Erik has big plans, which seem to quickly go awry - unless Palle can do him a great favor through his work. Things don't go quite as Søs had planned with a serious acting career - but then she meets the controversial Otto Schøler, director of a large Copenhagen revue theater, and then something happens. When Meyer suspects what may have happened at Bella during the occupation, it leads to a showdown with Kaj Holger.

Erik and Meyer have started a television factory together, which looks like a success - but Erik is taking big chances to get customers. At Bella, Kaj Holger still opposes producing television, but is somewhat alarmed by the rumors about Erik's new initiatives. Søs tries to avenge her father's interference in her theater career by living as extravagantly as possible. Palle is called up as a soldier and at the same time makes a big decision, while Børge has begun to have warm feelings for a very specific woman. Ida is distraught by Erik's sometimes strange behavior.
S1 • E6
Erik manages to get a much-needed huge order home to his and Meyer's factory - there's just one practical thing that needs to fall into place. While Søs is forced to face the fact that life is not quite as easy and straightforward as it usually is, Palle is greeted by a surprise at his father's house when he unexpectedly comes to visit from Bornholm because he has an appointment with J.O. Krag. Meanwhile, problems grow at home with Ida and Erik, due to Erik's unpredictable behavior.

Erik has now been back with his father at Bella for a little over a year - but he is not thriving and is experiencing that Kaj Holger is stepping on him even more. At home, Ida has no idea what to do with Erik's fluctuating mood and behavior. Palle is about to take his final exams and at the same time moves into a boarding house, which is populated by a rather strange collection of people. Søs is back after giving birth and continues her life as if nothing has happened - her mother is taking care of it in her own way.

Søs has gotten engaged to Thomas and is busy planning her wedding - at the same time she is having doubts about several of the choices she has made recently. Thomas causes one conflict after another for Bella - and Kaj Holger is in for some tough times. Ida can't figure out what Erik is up to - and in the end it all falls apart for them. While Børge does what he can to entice Karen to move in with him more permanently, Palle is having problems with love.
