Gordon invites the entrepreneurs to Cornwall, where he sets them a high pressure individual challenge, then tests their teamwork by getting them to run food shacks on the beach before he grills them on their performance face-to-face.

S1 • E2

Episode #1.2

Gordon sends his 11 contenders back to basics, challenging them to learn traditional salmon-smoking techniques and to forage for ingredients in the great outdoors. He then quizzes them face-to-face to determine who is sent home.

S1 • E3

Episode #1.3

The remaining contenders must expect the unexpected as they are sent to England's Lake District to face a terrifying challenge 1,000 feet in the air. They are then asked to design, develop, market and pitch an idea to a panel of experts.
