A con man, in the form of a fox named Waldo Wigglesworth, and his stooge Filmore Bear befriend a frog named Hoppity Hooper and convince him that Waldo is his long lost uncle. Together, the trio share many adventures and get involved in plenty of weird situations.

Waldo's latest con involves charging people to dig for diamonds in a vacant lot, but this annoys an underground race of mole people who kidnap Waldo, Fillmore and Hoppity.

When Waldo and Fillmore have a parting of ways, the later hooks up with a pair of gangsters who plan to use his bugle-playing in a kidnapping plot.

When the trio befriends a giant, Waldo hist upon the idea of making money off of him by forming a basketball team.

Filmore Bear enters another dimension called The Traffic Zone and returns as a giant turnip. Only the Grand Asparagus knows how to change him back - and he's out of season.

When Waldo loses his entire stock of Indian Guide Elixir, he must brew another batch. Unknowingly, he includes in the mix Wottabango corn - which is explosive.
