It's a busy day on the marital front. Esteban, a young, attractive engineer has to help his workers when a fire spreads out and in the mean time prepares for his wedding to Isabel, the daughter of his associate - Cristóbal. María de la Luz, a lonely mother also prepares for her wedding to Alejandro, who gets a job in Esteban's company. Meanwhile the Olivares household mourns the anniversary of the death of Camila and Juan Manuel's daughter.

María de la Luz can't stop the flashback of Esteban and his new wife, which doesn't go unnoticed to her husband Alejandro. Mercedes and her daughter Mariana move in a new flat with the help of their new neighbor - Juan Carlos. Camila turns up at Esteban's wedding and takes photos with the groom, who obviously can't remember her. Cristóbal wants to move forward with the oil deal but the strike has him worried. Rosaura is baffled to bump into Fernando at the wedding party.

María de la Luz declines to be intimate with Alejandro, which drives him into the arms of another woman. Isabel constantly asks Esteban to swear he'll never leave her and her insecurity annoys him that much as he goes exploring the city on his own. Cristóbal can't reach an understanding with Juan Carlos regarding the strike.

Esteban rushes back and forth to book tickets for Zurich in order to meet with Dr. Scwartz and try to recover some of his memories while Isabel is scared of that trip and tells Rosaura. María de la Luz and Alejandro cut the honeymoon short. Camila hires a man to investigate Esteban. Mariana introduces herself to Federico. Juan Carlos reaches an agreement with the workers and lays down their conditions in front of the media.

Maria de la Luz still feels insulted by Alejandro's attitude during their brief honeymoon but confides in Flora, she'll give her marriage a try. Esteban and Isabel await their flight to Zurich when he receives a phone call from Cristóbal regarding the problems with the workers. Juan Carlos is fed up with his family, criticizing his ethics and shares with Mercedes his worries. Camila is delighted by the news of the crisis with the workers. Mariana finds that Federico might be like all men.

Maria de la Luz takes Sebastián to the park and is very shaken up to see a man, who buys ice cream for her son. Esteban can't reach an agreement with Juan Carlos. Camila gets first results from Luis Alfredo regarding his investigation of Esteban. Isabel is shocked to learn that her husband wants to have children. Alejandro hasn't started working for the company yet and feels his position is at stake because of Juan Carlos' rebellion.

Maria de la Luz is certain about Esteban's amnesia and tells Flora of their meeting. Federico gets into a fight with his parents, which ends with his wish to have died instead of his sister. Alejandro resumes with his jealousy and anger towards Maria de la Luz. Isabel and Esteban start trying to conceive. Delfina discovers why Juan Manuel is so cold with Federico. Juan Carlos continues to bond with Mercedes and at home enjoys Amparo's beauty.

Maria de la Luz is frantic when Sebastián has a fever. Alejandro gets the job at the company and on his way out he encounters Isabel. Mariana offers Federico a tutor to help him with his studies. Albertina doesn't believe Amparo's story that she's leaving for a few days to visit some relative. Camila reads the report of Esteban's accident and discovers that he was with a woman. The minister gives an ultimatum to Esteban and Cristóbal to resolve the issue with the workers.

Alejandro receives his first task from the company which involves bribing Juan Carlos to end the strike. Rosaura manages to track down Maria de Luz. Camila interrupts Juan Manuel while being with a client and this time he looses his temper. Amparo does the photo shoot and Leopoldo tries his luck with her. Federico resumes to have a good time with Laura and after the busy evening, all hungover encounters his tutor.

Juan Carlos has a terrible day when the workers put an end to the strike and on top of it all, he finds out that Amparo lied to him about her trip. Mariana is very ashamed when Federico confesses that a degree for him is purely a piece of paper to get his mother off his case. Alejandro moves out and Maria de la Luz can't persuade him to stay even only for the good of Sebastián. Juan Manuel tells Camila that he has doubts of his paternity regarding Federico.

Sebastián runs away from school and turns up at the company, looking for Alejandro but finds Esteban, who takes the child to a doctor because he has a fever. Camila interviews Maria de la Luz in order to hire her as Federico's tutor. Isabel has coffee with Alejandro and during their conversation she learns that Sebastián isn't his son. Juan Carlos becomes the only victim of the strike as he looses his job and when Albertina blames him for being incompetent, he tells her who is the culprit, responsible for his downfall.

Maria de la Luz informs Mariana about Federico's wealthy family and she also expresses her opinion regarding his whole larger than life act. Alejandro decides to stand between Maria de la Luz and Esteban, so he moves back in and takes Sebastián to a baseball practice. Camila orders Luis Alfredo to find Juan Carlos and send there a journalist to do a story of his downfall. Esteban is late for a very important negotiations because Isabel deliberately doesn't wake him up on time. Amparo gets her check for the photo shoot.

Isabel wants to get rid of Maria de la Luz and Sebastián, so she suggests to Alejandro the idea to ask her father for an opportunity to go work abroad and take them along. Camila tells Juan Manuel that Federico will give blood for a DNA test. A disturbing article makes the front page, describing Alejandro's betrayal and Juan Carlos' downfall. Maria de la Luz starts tutoring Federico and one of the family photos gets her attention. Esteban has flashbacks of his last meeting with Maria de la Luz.

Cristóbal will be throwing a celebration in his house and invites every employee including his enemy - Camila. Alejandro uses Sebastián in order to force Maria de la Luz to attend. Esteban's joy vanishes in a flash when Isabel confesses she is merely late. Consuelo needs a ghost writer to help her with her memoirs and Federico recommends Maria de la Luz. Mariana takes Mercedes' advice and tells her bow what she's looking for in a man. Gabriel lectures his niece on housekeeping.

Everyone enjoys themselves at the celebration except Maria de la Luz, who feels uncomfortable and has to explain again to Rosaura her life priorities. Isabel begs Cristóbal to send Alejandro and his family to work abroad. Esteban bonds with Sebastián as he gives him two tickets for a baseball match. Federico is angry because Maria de la Luz canceled their study session and he takes it out on Mariana. Mercedes opens up to Juan Carlos about her past and failed marriage. Another article appears in the paper, exposing the Díaz Antoni consortium in corruption.

The Díaz Antoni consortium defends its good name during a press conference and their move is so good that Camila has to call her father for advice on how to discredit them again. Alejandro is send on his first job out of town. Sebastián is upset to find the baseball tickets torn and he calls Esteban, who drops everything and rushes to comfort the child. Maria de la Luz strikes a deal with Federico regarding their tutoring sessions and in the mean time he introduces her to Consuelo. Rosaura learns that Isabel's pregnancy was a false alarm.

Maria de la Luz lies to Esteban regarding Sebastián's father being dead. Federico apologizes to Mariana about his bad behavior the other day and thanks her for his marvelous tutor. Alejandro refuses to give Maria de la Luz a divorce and threatens to tell Esteban everything that he can't remember. Isabel refuses intimacy with Esteban and simulates being sick. Rosaura has dinner with Fernando, who can't stop asking whether Esteban might be his son.

Federico prefers to study and blows off Laura. Esteban swears for the millionth time to Isabel that he won't leave her and a sudden storm makes him remember something. Cristóbal gets wonderful news regarding the oil market. Mercedes finds suspicious Vicente's interest in her and his sudden arrival at her door. Maria de la Luz learns from Consuelo that she had two sons but gets very angry when Esteban's name was mentioned. Juan Carlos encourages Amparo's attempts to perfect her catwalk despite Albertina's ironic remarks.

Esteban learns the story of the medallion from Camila at the dinner party. He also encounters Federico, who demonstrates to everyone his remarkable musical talent. Mercedes has dinner with Vicente and refuses to answer any question about her work. Albertina continues to criticize Amparo. Maria de la Luz discovers that Federico has met Esteban. Laura visits her father in the clinic and truthfully talks about her life under Gabriel's roof and her feelings for Federico.

Federico passes his exam and shows up at Mariana's door to celebrate. Mercedes is stood up and thankfully, Juan Carlos takes her out for a meal. Cristóbal learns that the oil terrains will make him a millionaire.

Esteban can't make Consuelo tell him anything regarding the photo and after his visit, she feels unwell, which drives Maria de la Luz to call the doctor. Camila impatiently awaits for Gabriel's return in order to secure the deal with Ignacio and her triumph over Díaz Antoni. Rosaura is very upset because of Esteban's distant and cold behavior. Albertina sees Amparo's commercial and throws her out.

Maria de la Luz visits Esteban at work and enlightens him of Consuelo's illness. Albertina is offered a modeling job. Juan Carlos accepts his brother's check but treats it as a loan. Isabel is devastated that her husband wants to postponed getting her pregnant. Federico is worried when Consuelo feels unwell during their chat. Vicente arrives with flowers and tells Mercedes that he was hired to seduce her. Alejandro stalks Maria de la Luz. Camila gets her hands on the intel that Ignacio was selling her.

After learning from Consuelo what sort of a man was his late father, Esteban accepts to go on a holiday with Isabel. Maria de la Luz wants a divorce but Alejandro repeats his threat to tell Esteban everything about his lost memories and on top of that he also informs her of Esteban's trip. Mercedes meets Federico. Amparo doesn't want to make another photo shoot on the beach and makes a suggestion that is actually approved.

Camila's victory over the consortium raises many questions. Cristóbal wonders who is the mole in his firm and Ignacio uses the situation to hint at Esteban and Fernando. Consuelo is certain that Camila payed someone in order to win the contract. Mercedes learns from her co-workers about Camila's last minute proposal and shares this information with Maria de la Luz. Alejandro buys a new car. Juan Manuel cheats on Delfina.

Esteban quits the consortium and attends Sebastián's match, where he is dangerously close to Maria de la Luz. Consuelo warns Camila to present her with the financial papers or she'll call the board and release her as head of the company. Mariana isn't accepted at the university and Mercedes offers to enroll in a private college. Amparo literally stop traffic as she poses in a bikini downtown and Juan Carlos drops everything after seeing the news on TV. Alejandro has to miss the baseball match because he has to go away on business.

Camila and Enrique decide to throw Ignacio under the bus and she tells Consuelo who is the mole in Cristóbal's firm. Alejandro receives praises for his good report and Sebastián decides from now on to call him dad. Maria de la Luz confesses to Consuelo it's very hard for her to keep away from Esteban, when he arrives and informs them of his decision to return to Boston. Federico is astonished to see Juan Manuel at his concert. Mercedes is renting the spare room in her flat in order to pay for Mariana's education and Juan Carlos decides to become the tenant.

Maria de la Luz takes Consuelo's advice and convinces Esteban not to move to Boston but when he opens the subject of their feelings, he looses control of the car. Federico arrives at his father's house to thank him for attending his concert at the moment when Delfina leaves Juan Manuel. Amparo crashes Mercedes, Juan Carlos and Mariana's celebration. Alejandro is seriously working on his marriage, in attempts to win Maria de la Luz.

Alejandro is concerned when Maria de la Luz returns home drenched and scared but the next day when Maritza tells him of Esteban's accident, he concludes they were together. Mercedes starts being suspicious of Juan Carlos' friendly behavior towards Mariana, is in fact a crush. Federico learns why Delfina left Juan Manuel and offers Mariana to run away. Rosaura and Isabel are terrified when the doctor tells them that when Esteban wakes up, he'll recover all his memory. Maria de la Luz impatiently awaits Consuelo to return from the hospital with news of Esteban.

Maria de la Luz is delighted that Esteban is conscious but still with amnesia. Delfina is very worried about Juan Manuel, who seems to have disappeared and tells Federico. Alejandro is about to be let go, but he persuades Cristóbal to let him explore the forest district with Fernando's help. Consuelo can't convince Esteban to take Camila's place in her company. Mercedes slaps Mariana and accuses Juan Carlos of flirting with her daughter.

Alejandro is angry by his wife's sudden departure and he goes that far as to demand her whereabouts from Esteban. Isabel is frantic when she doesn't find Esteban in his hospital room and concludes he is with Maria de la Luz. Mariana feels guilty for destroying her mother's romance and she goes to Juan Carlos to apologize for her reaction. Federico finds the results of the DNA test in Juan Manuel's private study. Esteban is going mad because he can't get in touch with Maria de la Luz.

Mariana is worried sick about Federico. Consuelo receives a phone call from the Swiss consulate with information about Dr. Schwartz and when she tells Maria de la Luz, they decide to travel to Zurich. Isabel informs Rosaura that Esteban has moved out. Esteban can't understand why Maria de la Luz broke up with him and he tries to focus on work. Camila upsets Federico when she accuses him of being responsible for the death of Victoria Eugenia.

Maria de la Luz and Consuelo meet with Dr. Schwartz, who confirms his diagnosis but the two women are unaware about the mysterious figure that lurks in the next room. Isabel is hysterical again and Esteban has to stay by her side all night. Amparo makes an ugly scandal when she sees Juan Carlos kissing Mercedes. Federico asks Plácido to tell Mariana that she's too good for him and to find happiness with someone else.

Maria de la Luz witnesses a physical fight between Esteban and Alejandro in the office. Federico switches on his self-destructive mode and takes part in a motocross race. Camila finds a new potential spy to recruit and learns from Gabriel about the fight in the consortium. Consuelo reads Julio's journal. Juan Carlos wants to divorce Amparo and to marry Mercedes.

When Maria de la Luz opens the subject of who's Esteban real father, Rosaura becomes very anxious and finds a dreadful way to get even. Esteban receives the photos of him and Camila kissing and while he's discussing them with Fernando, Isabel shows up unexpectedly. Camila learns from Alejandro about the whole project of the forest district and another bad news slaps her in the face - Federico being arrested for selling drugs. The police searches the premises where Federico's band gathers and finds cocaine and pills.

Maria de la Luz and Esteban bump into each other in Federico's cell at the police station. Laura refuses to retract her accusations. Plácido bribes a policeman. Camila asks her spy to get her the report on the forest district. Cristóbal finds on his desk a copy of the photo where Esteban and Camila are kissing. After learning what's happened to Federico, Juan Carlos drops everything and accompanies Mercedes to the station.

Esteban is determined to have a talk with Maria de la Luz regarding her bizarre behavior and the actual reason why they broke up. Delfina visits Laura at the hospital and gets her confession. Mercedes informs Mariana that she's been fired from the cafe and Juan Carlos offers her a secretary job at the garage. Consuelo summons Fernando and they talk about that day when Julio died, which brings them to the conclusion that Rosaura lied about everything. Alejandro drugs Isabel to get a chance to ferret in her purse for the safe combination.

Alejandro successfully gets his hands on all the papers in Cristóbal's safe. Albertina does a photo shoot as a housewife. Federico is free. Delfina takes in Laura. Gabriel is arrested and he calls the only person, who has the connections to get him out - Camila. Rosaura is horrified when Joaquina confirms that Julio kept a diary. Esteban gives his medallion to Maria de la Luz.

Consuelo unmasks Rosaura and in her wrath she confesses that her son, Esteban will be the weapon to ruin the Olivares family. Mercedes is worried her period is late. Alejandro refuses to give Camila the disc with the copies of the papers. Cristóbal has some objections when Esteban and Fernando advice him to hire Juan Manuel to become the new counselor of the consortium. Gabriel is identified by the drug dealer.

Alejandro moves in Isabel's apartment. Camila writes a fat check to her spy to get the disc. José Miguel returns home early with a terrible migraine and Albertina leaves him alone to get to her photo shoot. Mercedes observes Juan Carlos being too friendly with some girl. Isabel is scared when Rosaura has a nervous outburst, cursing Consuelo, Maria de la Luz and Fernando. Consuelo informs Maria de la Luz she won't publish her memoirs. Fernando enjoys working with Esteban more than ever.

Maria de la Luz and Esteban are happy and making plans. Juan Carlos returns from the hospital after leaving there José Miguel and he has to sleep on the sofa because Mercedes is angry, jealous and refuses to listen to any explanations. Isabel is furious when she finds Alejandro has moved in her apartment and most of all that he has signed his divorce papers. Federico and Mariana have to handle the garage since Juan Carlos is late.

Rosaura acts very hypocritical when she has to raise a glass for her son's new girlfriend but this only drives her to do something terrible in order to destroy Maria de la Luz once and for all. Esteban is baffled when Isabel declines to give him a divorce. Juan Carlos is worried about Mercedes' health. Albertina dresses up like a man, so that Amparo won't recognize her in the agency. Maria de la Luz explores the estate that Consuelo will buy for the orphanage. Camila is furious when the expert informs her that the disc, contained completely different reports.

Sebastián is hit by a car and Alejandro immediately uses the accident to tell the child about Maria de la Luz and Esteban's relationship. Camila discovers who's the new counselor of the consortium. Juan Carlos doesn't want Mercedes to risk her life with that pregnancy. Cristóbal calms down Isabel regarding her current situation and asks her to agree to the divorce. Juan Manuel announces that the patent papers of Fernando's discovery will be legalized tomorrow.

Esteban explains to Sebastián calmly and honestly his feelings for his mother. Isabel finds the ticket of a rented car and quickly concludes that Rosaura was responsible for Sebastián's accident. Fernando meets with Camila and refuses to work for her. Mariana disagrees with Mercedes' decision to give birth when her life would be in such danger. Maria de la Luz warns Rosaura to stop doing bad things to Sebastián.

Alejandro takes Isabel to an expensive hotel and when he observes Juan Carlos all over Amparo in the pool, he feels sorry for Mercedes. Delfina sets a trap for Luis Alfredo as she gives him false intel regarding a huge deal that the consortium is about to make. Camila returns to work as head of the company and plans her wedding in Egyptian motive.

Mercedes is about to be officially arrested after trashing a hotel room and she calls Maria de la Luz for help. Camila finds on her desk Juan Manuel's wedding ring and during her nervous outburst, she suspects Delfina stands behind this. Cristóbal tells Esteban about the bad deal Camila has made with the abandoned gas stations and soon they come to conclusion there's someone else who wants to destroy Camila. Isabel has doubts she might be pregnant. Soraya worries about Amparo's disappearance.

Delfina persuades Luis Alfredo to kill Camila when she arrives to do the very same to her. Federico announces to the entire band he's been disinherited. Juan Carlos brings flowers and a mariachi band to serenade Mercedes but she throws him out. Maria de la Luz is angry with the judicial system. Esteban and Cristóbal tell Isabel that she needs to recognize the so-called makeup artist, who was involved in her abduction.

Maria de la Luz learns many secrets. Isabel attends Federico's concert and when she sees Sandra, looses consciousness but this doesn't go unnoticed. Camila is sure in Esteban's feelings and welcomes the minister, who brings an IT specialist to crack Esteban's laptop. Alejandro interrogates Olga when he can't find Isabel home.

Maria de la Luz a has secret rendezvous, unaware that Luis Alfredo is lurking nearby. Sandra threatens Isabel with a gun in the sauna and when Soraya learns about it, decides to teach the singer a lesson. Camila's pride is hurt and she dresses up like a psychiatrist and upsets Rosaura. Mercedes returns to work.

Esteban arrives at the psychiatric clinic, which is on fire and Rosaura is still inside. Cristóbal punches Juan Carlos. Camila delivers personally to Maria de la Luz's closet her wedding invitation and informs them that the dress code is black. Maria de la Luz clarifies with Isabel what exactly happened while she was abducted. Hernán gets into a fight with Federico, accusing him of embezzling the band's profit, just like Sandra said.

Camila confronts Esteban regarding his reasons to be close to her and blackmails him into getting married the next day or his son will get what's coming to him. Federico quits the band and Sandra becomes the new treasurer. Cristóbal pampers Mercedes with comfort food. Luis Alfredo introduces to Camila the dirty cop, who helps them. Isabel informs her father about her suspicions of being pregnant. Maria de la Luz gives Esteban strength as they watch the police preparing the room where Camila has to confess her crimes.

Camila is taken to jail. Luis Alfredo captures Sandra, trying to escape and takes her with him. Gonzalo gets shot. Cristóbal announces to Isabel, Alejandro, Mercedes and Delfina that Camila has been arrested and explains what was Esteban's plan all along. Maria de la Luz goes to the hospital because it's day of Juan Bautista's operation.

Everyone becomes frantic and hysterical when Sebastián and Andrea are kidnapped and on top of that Camila escapes from police custody. Mariana, Federico, Hernán and Benjamín learn from Gonzalo who shot him and how Sandra took off with their money.

Maria de la Luz is under arrest for murder. Luis Alfredo gets the ransom money, won't share with his associate and orders Sandra to kill the children. Cristóbal and Isabel walk on Delfina's phone conversation while she is trying to persuade Luis Alfredo to return the children.

Maria de la Luz is locked up behind bars while Esteban is abducted on the parking lot. Luis Alfredo ends up in the hospital with a gunshot wound and summons Delfina. The children are walking all alone in the night until they ask for a help a complete stranger.
