Rosette and her partner, Chrono, destroy a restaurant in the process of fighting a demon.

Elder, the mad scientist responsible for the equipment that the soldiers of the Magdalene Order use, has just invented the "Spirit," a bullet that, as the devil that is sealed inside of it begins to materialize, changes the released spiritual energy into destructive force. Rosette, who had the Spirit entrusted to her, had loaded it into her gun, but looses it during a mission!

Rosette and Chrono attempt to rescue an apostle named Azmaria Hendric from her foster father, a casino mogul, but they must fight a demonic army to help her.

While in protective custody, Azmaria gets taken away by Viscount Lerajie and Chrono is severely wounded. In order to recover Azmaria, Rosette is prepared to undo Chrono's seal, but that would take away her own life.

Rosette, who has been prohibited to search for Joshua by Sister Kate, goes with Minister Remington's suggestion and takes the test to become a Militia. Remington secretly releases a devil for the test, but Azmaria is also in the testing area!

Rosette, Chrono and Azmaria hunt down an animated corpse leading an army of minions and meet a jewel summoner who helps them out.

The red moon appears, the statue of Mary cries tears of blood, and as the disasters prophesized in the Bible occur, the seal on the land connected to Pandemonium is undone. In order to reseal the area, the Magdalene Order is dispatched to Central Park where the dead have returned and miasma is scattered all about.

Father Remington calls for Rosette's help on a mission, but when she arrives at Grand Central Station, she falls into the grips of the Sinner Rizel.

Since the incident in Central Park, there has been an increase in the activities of dark ones due to Aion's influence. Taking her uneasy feelings about the battle to heart, Rosette brings Azmaria to the place where it all started, the Seventh Bell orphanage.

Four years ago, Aion, who had learned of Chrono's awakening, appeared before Rosette and the others. Chrono refused him, but by that time, Aion had already given Chrono's horns to Joshua.

A beast shaped like a giant dog attacks mafia members; Satella shows herself at the crime scene.

Duke Duffau, the person from Satella's villa, is on the mission to pursue sinners like Chrono and Aion. Amazingly, he asks Rosette and the others to ally with him in order to defeat Aion.

As the cooperative battle plan of Duffau and the Magdalene Order moves forward, Satella, who is against Rosette's decision to work with the devils, leaves by herself to investigate some cases of disappearances that have been occurring in the outskirts of San Francisco.

Because of the shock she received during her battle with Aion, Satella is unable to regain her power as a jewel summoner. And Rosette, who is concerned about her, has blood come out of the wounds cut into her forehead and wrists...

The Magdalene Order has suffered quite the blow when they were beaten back by the Sinners. Now forced to rest in order to prepare for the next battle, Rosette, Chrono, and Satella are all deeply depressed and eager to regain their powers.

Rosette realizes her younger brother, Joshua, has been brainwashed; Genai kidnaps Azmaria.

Chrono rips the horns from Joshua's head, but is paralyzed in stone during the struggle; leaving the entire city of San Francisco in ruins.

The whereabouts of Rosette, who was taken away by Aion, remain unknown. Meanwhile, the chaos in San Francisco that came about due to the ritual of atonement has spread throughout the United States. But Chrono was frozen during the battle with Joshua, and his consciousness wanders back to when he was still a Sinner and accompanying Aion.

Aion takes Rosette through the damaged city, where she miraculously heals the wounded.

Following the instructions of the letter that he was sent, Chrono goes to an abandoned church, where Aion and Rosette appear before him. Shocked by Rosette saying that she wants to cancel their contract, Chrono ends up letting Aion get away...

Rosette and Chrono vanish after the restoration of the orphanage as Azmaria, Joshua and the others settle into their new lives.
