Dolores and Ryan seek forgiveness for their Lollapalooza scheme; RJ looks for a job, in hope of becoming independent; and Holly and Rodney try to spice up their marriage.

Holly and RJ head to Detroit to open a new RJ's Place at the Children's Hospital; Rodney takes Ryan on a tour of USC; and Robinson is stuck at home on his 13th birthday.

Rodney helps with the kids, while Holly is busy prepping for her annual HollyRod fundraiser; and, encouraged by Dolores, Ryan steels herself for her first audition with a big-shot music producer.

Holly works on a new business venture that she hopes will supplement the family's income, while Rodney leads a discussion group for dads of autistic children and RJ prepares for life with Ryan away at college.

When Dolores suddenly needs a place to live, Holly gives up her brand new momcave and offers her the guesthouse. Rodney fears that Dolores will overstep her boundaries. Roman is tired of being the smallest Peete. Ryan shoots a music video.

S1 • E7
Holly and Rodney struggle to decide on whether or not Robinson should play football in the upcoming season. Ryan decides to further her music career by enhancing her music video; while Rodney starts to get annoyed with Dolores for moving in too much junk and inferring with the household rules.

S1 • E8
Rodney decides it's finally time to take control of his cognitive health in order to be there for his family. Ryan takes a giant step forward with her music career while RJ gets an exciting opportunity for his future and Dolores isn't going anywhere.
