Some time passes and at a grand celebration at the Noon house, Palak crosses paths with Rithwik again. He quickly becomes the most hated man in Palak's life, as he ruins an emotion very close to her heart.

Vijaypath successfully manages the media and the reputation of his company. Ritwik tries to manage the problem called Palak by offering her a job she can't refuse. He is ready to go to any lengths to prove to her that the new medicine is truly market ready. Palak accepts the offer but Ritwik Noon makes some arrangements to make Palak's first day at work miserable.

At the end of her first day at Noon Biotech, Palak is left tired and exhausted but her can-do spirit is intact. Nothing that Ritwik attempts will deter Palak from her goal. This infuriates Ritwik further and makes his resolve of creating hell in Palak's life stronger. Meanwhile, Ritwik's sister Reeva is beginning to have second thoughts over her relationship with Samar.

Palak prepares for her presentation but Ritwik is well prepared to foil it. As fate would have it, some plans are meant to fail while others are meant to fall in place. The battle of the egos continues as Ritwik brings out yet another evil trick from his kitty. This time, it almost works and makes Palak fall in love with him. Palak and her team set up a medical camp in the deserts of Rajasthan. Ritwik follows her there too with his offer. But before that, Palak wants him to volunteer in the camp and help her patients. Ritwik readily takes on the challenge as there is hardly anything in the world his charm cannot achieve. However, Palak is shocked to see Ritwik put his life on line for the sake of her patients.

Palak diligently cares for Ritwik while he recovers. In return, Ritwik expresses heartfelt gratitude towards Palak. This fragile side of Ritwik forces Palak to re-think her views about this man she thought she hated the most. But as she returns to work at Noon Biotech, undesired rumours force her to confront Ritwik of his true intentions.

Samar's attempts to get Reeva to cancel the wedding go in vain. Reeva, on the other hand, does what she thinks is required to save her marriage. Will this grand wedding take place as planned? Palak reaches the Noon Mansion and finds it buzzing with wedding preparations. She is about to discover a familiar connection in the midst of it all.

Ritwik's flirty ways almost land him in trouble, but his new friend Palak comes to the rescue. Ritwik is not very impressed when he meets Palak's mother, who is obsessed with getting her daughter a suitable match. Meanwhile, the Noons are delighted to have Ritwik's close friend Ananya be a part of the celebrations.

As the wedding day nears, the Noons get busy with several pre-wedding celebrations. A new trust begins to develop between Ritwik and Palak. She promises to never break his trust. But, soon Palak finds herself in a dilemma over Radhika and her relationship with Samar, and what will be the consequences when Ritwik learns the truth?

Just a few hours before the wedding, Samar is nowhere to be found. Vijaypath and Ritwik look for him everywhere. Everyone begins to get anxious as no one can get in touch with Vijaypath and Ritwik. Palak is a mere witness to all that is happening around her. Will she continue to remain a mute spectator or take some action? She has a decision to make.

What does it take for a happy home to turn into an unhappy one? A broken wedding. The impact of this tragedy is far reaching. Several relations, both old and new, risk falling apart. In times of crisis, members of the Noon family try to be each other's pillar of support. Nothing is more important than Reeva's recovery. But the recent catastrophe affects Ritwik the most, as he blames himself for his sister's suffering. Palak submits her resignation and receives a cheerful farewell from all the employees of Noon Biotech. But still, Ritwik has some unkind words reserved for her.

Rohit and Setu argue whether Palak is responsible for what happened with Reeva. They also confess what they think about each other. Reeva is already over Samar, but she doesn't seem to be in a mood to forgive Ritwik. Palak decides to leave for Mumbai for a few days, but Setu thinks she is running away from Ritwik.

Rohit invites Setu to cover Reeva's breakup party. Seeing Rohit and Setu enjoy each other's company, Rohit's father indicates his approval of Setu. But, there is a selfish reason behind his approval. Palak finally learns the reason behind her mother's obsession of getting a rich match for her. Palak reaches the airport to hand over the hard disk to Ritwik, in return she receives money and more hatred.

After returning from London, Ritwik Noon takes an important life decision. He gets engaged, even though he still can't trust women. Its Setu and Rohit's engagement ceremony, but Palak chooses to stay away. Ritwik is glad to know this, but only on the surface. Just before the engagement, Rohit's father tries to clear his land deal. But he is disappointed.

Everyone celebrates the happy union of Rohit and Setu. Even Palak doesn't miss this moment and chooses to be a part of it. Seeing her, Setu is delighted. But Ritwik can't stand the presence of both Palak and her mother. Meanwhile, Rohit's father continues to push the land deal through Setu's father.

The celebrations are cut short when Setu's ex-husband shows up. Who invited him? This is the only question on everyone's mind. Rohit's family and Ritwik accuse Palak and her mother of hiding the truth about Setu's past. Palak's mother is blamed for Setu's previous failed marriage.

Rohit pleads Setu to come with him, but Setu refuses. He accuses Ritwik of being selfish and ruining his chances of a life with Setu. Yet again, Palak is ready to leave Delhi. Palak and Ritwik try to persuade their respective friends, Setu and Rohit, to get back together. Rohit finds Ritwik's ideas futile, but Palak manages to convince Setu. At a coffee shop, they discuss the way forward for the couple - court marriage or a grand wedding? Seeing Ritwik getting increasingly close to Palak, Reeva warns Ananya to watch out.

Ritwik and Palak begin planning Setu and Rohit's grand wedding. But without informing anyone, Rohit leaves town with Setu. As everyone in the family is worried, Palak and Ritwik try to track them down. On the way, they talk about love and passion. When Palak asks whether he truly loves Ananya, he has no clear answer.

Ritwik continues to persuade Rohit and Setu to re-think their decision. But before Rohit can decide, both the Noons and the Puris learn about the couple's wedding plans. Palak and Setu are kidnapped by a dangerous local gang. For their safe return, the gang demands a ransom. Rohit and Ritwik are ready to do anything to rescue the girls. But Setu and Palak are not ones to suffer quietly. An injured Palak has an escape plan. But before they can reach out to Rohit and Ritwik, the boys are in the clutches of the kidnappers.

Ritwik and Rohit find Setu, but Palak is still missing. A desperate and anxious Ritwik pleads the kidnappers for Palak's safety. The gang leader, Mahendra Singh, is not happy that Palak gave them the slip. He now has Ritwik at gun point. Will Palak reveal herself to save Ritwik?

Rohit and Setu escape from Mahendra Singh and his goons' clutches. But Palak and Ritwik continue to fight to save themselves. Mahendra Singh's desperation and greed for a bigger ransom poses a threat to Palak and Ritwik's life. But the two are ready to die for each other when the situation spirals out of control.

Rohit, Setu, Palak, and Ritwik are safe and back at home. They decide not to tell their families about the kidnapping incident. But the future of Setu and Rohit's wedding is still uncertain, as the Puris are not ready to accept Setu as their daughter-in-law. To settle the dispute, Ritwik strikes a deal that involves sacrificing his own happiness.

Mr. Puri uses Setu's love for Rohit to his benefit. This time, he is sure that he will get the piece of land that he has been eyeing. A distressed Setu asks Palak to help her locate Rohit. Palak has no option but to meet Rohit's closest friend, Ritwik, to find out more about Rohit. But, in return, she gets a curt response from Ritwik.

Ahead of his wedding with Ananya, Ritwik decides to confess to Ananya everything that happened between Palak and him. Ananya is on her way to meet Ritwik, and so is Palak. The three come face to face with each other. But Palak leaves the Noon mansion nursing a deep hurt in her heart.

Mamta visits Manjeet and Palak to discuss ideas for Ritwik's sangeet ceremony. But she is left confused when she learns that Palak may have knowledge about Ritwik's troubled past. She wants to know if Palak and Ritwik are more than friends. As the preparations for the sangeet are in full swing, Mr. Puri eagerly looks forward to the celebrations.

As the sangeet ceremony begins, Mr. Puri puts his deceitful plan into action. Everyone is enjoying and having a good time. But Setu is distressed as she can't find Rohit anywhere. Mamta's performance dedicated to Ritwik makes him emotional. He thanks Palak for the idea, but she maintains professionalism.

To make sure that Setu is not troubled after her marriage with Rohit, Manjeet approaches Mr. Puri with a legal proposal. Mr. Puri is taken aback by her shrewdness. But before the deal can come to any fruition, Setu goes missing from her own sangeet ceremony. Mr. Puri's lies and deception threaten to reveal themselves in front of everyone.

Setu is still missing, but she has a message for everyone. It leaves the Noons and the Puris more puzzled. An ugly blame game begins where Palak and Manjeet are made scapegoats in the entire situation. Ritwik decides to search for Setu as only she can provide some answers..

Ritwik promises to help Palak locate Setu, even if his family is against it. Palak finds some shocking activity from the CCTV footage belonging to the Puri's house. This raises grave questions about Setu's disappearance. Is Mr. Puri behind it? Meanwhile, Manjeet regrets her decision of making Mr. Puri sign the prenuptial agreement.

Setu sends another video message. Hidden in it, Palak finds a clue leading to Setu's abductor. Acting upon Ritwik's suggestion, Vijaypath accuses Mr. Puri of abducting Setu. Palak reaches the Noon Mansion to stop the confrontation and clear the confusion. But in a tense moment, Ritwik expresses his true feelings to Palak.

For the first time in his life, Ritwik has been true to himself. But his truth has brewed a storm all around him. Everyone is caught up in it - the Puris, the Noons, the Varmas, Manjeet, and Palak. A hurt Ananya doesn't want to blame Palak but appeals her to examine her true feelings for Ritwik. Matters have just got more complicated for Palak and Ritwik.

On Vijaypath's instructions, Rishabh produces detailed information about Manjeet and her wedding business. Even after learning about Manjeet's past failed wedding contracts, Vijaypath and Mamta decide to visit Manjeet to talk about Palak and Ritwik's wedding. Mr. Puri doesn't want to let that happen and tries to convince the Noons. Meanwhile, the search for Setu leads Palak and Ritwik to Mumbai.

The Noons are divided on the matter of Ritwik and Palak. Rishabh tries his best to make his family realise that Manjeet and her daughter Palak are nothing but gold diggers and that a marriage with Palak will be Ritwik's greatest mistake. He gets Saanchi to visit Manjeet and lie about Vijaypath's intentions.

Knowing where Ritwik's heart is, Mamta requests Manjeet to discuss their children's future. Manjeet confronts Palak if she loves Ritwik, but Palak does not give clarity. When Palak is held captive along with Setu, Ritwik gets the answer he has been patiently expecting.

The talks between Manjeet and the Noons end on a disastrous note. Saanchi's attempts at reasoning with her go in vain. Manjeet doesn't want to have any relations with the Noon family, as she has had enough. As the weather in Mumbai takes a turn, Palak and Ritwik get stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Palak and Ritwik return home to find that their families are against forming any relationship with each other. Vijaypath is hurt and feels let down by Ritwik. He can be placated only if Ritwik cuts all ties with Palak. Similarly, Palak's parents stop her from contacting Ritwik for a few days.

Going against their families' diktat, Palak and Ritwik see each other. Palak explains her mother's standpoint to Ritwik and wants to clear the confusion with Ritwik's family. Ananya holds nothing against Ritwik and is, in fact, happy for him. But Vijaypath is adamant on bringing Ritwik and Ananya together.
