Feeling nostalgic and curious, Clari enters the lab where her parents used to work and finds a machine that, to her surprise, turns animals into people. At the same time, a confusing situation takes over the town and some animals in the village are affected by the activity from the machine Clari had just turned on by mistake.

Once turned into people, the animals need to learn the basic rules for social living, a task that will not be easy for Clari. While Gunther and Matilde explore the village, Candido and Bernarda get used to their new life; Bo resists the change and tries to return to her beloved jungle. Melquiades arrives at the village to find the whereabouts of the snake that escaped his trap.

The town's residents, curious about the arrival of the new inhabitants, decide to have a welcome picnic party for the MacAnimals, who turn the event upside down with a series of misunderstandings. The only one who doesn't show up is Bo, who is helping Ramon at the vet clinic. They are aiding a guinea pig and Bo learns that human intentions towards animals are not always the worst ones.

Living with the MacAnimals causes Clari to have problems with her friends who haven't seen her in ages, as she has her hands full with them. While her grandfather Ramon and Bo are carrying out their first test on her parents' machine, Bo is attracted by a special signal emitted by Melquiades, one used to find snakes and capture them. Gunther and Matilde come to Bo's rescue.

Clari, her grandfather, and the MacAnimals go to Arroyo Inclinado's annual pet contest. Melquiades takes advantage and finally breaks into the MacAnimals' home. Benja begins to suspect Melquiades' true intentions and Mabel finally vents, blaming Ramon for the animals' disappearance in front of the whole town.
S1 • E6
Mel, Melquiades' accomplice, arrives in Arroyo Inclinado to unravel the secret the MacAnimals are hiding. Gunther, acting as a father figure, takes Bernarda, Candido and Clari out and encourages them to befriend Luz and Mauro by sharing some of his canine wisdom.

Melquiades and Mel learn more about Clari's parents' past. Bo senses that there is something wrong with Mel and decides to follow her. Clari embarks on the adventure to prove that there is nothing shady going on. Bernarda feels like going to Benja's house to try to cheer him up, but, in the process, Candido finds himself sensing a very human feeling: jealousy.
S1 • E8
Bo misses her native habitat, so Rodrigo plucks up the courage and invites her to spend a nice day with him. Mel finally manages to get into the lab and begins to connect the dots about what had happened. Matilde meets Mabel's new cat and feels frustrated and jealous. Benja and Clari, who have been tricked, spend the whole day together looking for some lost piglets.

Mel and Melquiades put into action their plan to steal the machine and sell it to QUEIG. Benja seriously considers whether what Clari told him about the animals may be true or not and realizes that Melquiades had never been arrested before, even though he is an outlaw on the run.
S1 • E10
Mel and Melquiades kidnap Ramoon and use him as a bargaining chip for the machine. Clari, along with Benja and the MacAnimals, come up with a plan to rescue her grandfather. Bo insists to be turned back into a snake and asks the MacAnimals to think about whether they want to be turned back into their animal form or if they'd rather keep living as humans.
