No Time to Think

A man has been bitten on the hand by an unknown venomous snake; A 30-year-old paralegal has been beaten up, but the doctor suspects there is more to the story; A woman goes into labor in her car in the parking lot; A 600-pound patient is brought in in respiratory distress.

Red Blanket

A man claims to have lost his hand while working on his lawn mower; A teen six moths short of his high school graduation is in a bad accident; A combative punk rocker brings in her boyfriend, who has been beaten up; A woman brings in her husband, who has been having dizzy spells;

A Scary Feeling

A man who has hacked open a can of spray paint is admitted after he has inhaled some of the paint spray; Shortly after a man brings in his wife, who is suffering from chest pains, he runs screaming out of the ER; A man loses his hand in a work accident; A doctor who is afraid of bugs has to remove one from a patient's ear canal.

A Day from Hell

Doctors are suspicious of a mother's actions after her five-year-old has been brought into the ER for the fourth time in the past year; Two shooting victims are brought into the ER, and the girlfriend of one follows close behind, armed with a gun; Doctors scramble to save a man suffering from hypothermia; Doctors rush to retrieve a bouncer from a local club, high on PCP, who has bolted from the ER before the sedative he has been given--which will paralyze his breathing--takes affect.

Prepare for the Worst

Members of rival gangs are admitted and their fellow gang members come to the ER; Sister Della Rosa is admitted with trouble breathing, and she doesn't want treatment; A surgeon loses his fingers in a saw accident; A patient has cut his fingers and tells conflicting stories about how it happened.

A woman is in an automobile accident on the day of her wedding; An elderly couple and their adult daughter are admitted with bizarre symptoms; A man is admitted with a knife sticking out of his neck; A drunk seven-footer goes wild while he is strapped to a gurney.

A man comes into the ER with a tree branch impaled in his neck; A woman was found passed out on a supermarket floor; Victims from a rave party arrive in the ER.

Doctors suspect drug use in a group of carnival workers admitted with extremely high fevers; An accident victim might be pregnant; A patient is admitted on Halloween with a hatchet in his skull; A pilot complains of a kidney stone, but the doctors suspect there is more to the story.

How Can This Happen?

A child is accidentally stabbed in the head with a pitchfork; A 70-year-old White woman is complaining of abdominal pains is not happy about having a Black doctor; An 82-year-old man suspected of having a stroke is given the choice of using a new drug that could possibly kill him; The newest member of hospital security, an attack dog, does not live up to his expectations.

A 14-year-old child is in need of a blood transfusion, but his mother says it is against their religion; Doctors suspect a patient with a history of shoulder dislocations is really trying to con them out of painkillers; A motorcycle rider enters the 'triad of death' he suffers a torn vena cava after he is hit by an SUV; A new ER doctor is put to the test when four patients are brought in at one time.

Doctors try to save a patient who has been shot five times; A patient is admitted with abdominal pains and vomiting blood; A 65-year-old man with chest pains crashes in front of the ER; A woman suffering abdominal pains claims she has an alien insider her.

An incoherent homeless woman starts delivering a breech baby in the ER; Doctors suspect a serious health issue when a child is brought in with dilated pupils; A woman codes while she is at the hospital visiting her husband; An ER doctor becomes a patient when her hands start swelling; A retired pro wrestler is brought in incoherent and combative;

We Need Further Tests

A man taking down a tree is impaled in the throat by a hook; One pregnant doctor is treated by her pregnant ob-gyn; A hunter is accidentally shot; A woman collapses during class; A patient's suture line comes apart.

Pressure Is Building

A 17-year-old high school football player sustains a head injury in a game; A child has stopped breathing twice; A man was found unconscious in the store where worked; A patient with abdominal pains confuses ER doctors who are not sure at first whether she is a man or woman.

Surgery Won't Help

Navy Chief Petty Officer is transfered to the ER for further tests on a bruised eye that reveals more than was expected and necessitates emergency brain surgery.
