Fred and Barney have new positions as police officers, Wilma and Betty have jobs as newspaper reporters at The Bedrock Gazette with Captain Caveman. Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm are teenagers and they solve mysteries with Dino in a similar fashion to Scooby-Doo. The Flinstones have new neighbors named then Frankenstones, a family reminiscent of the Munsters.

In 'R.V. Fever', The Flintstones and Rubbles purchase together a camper to go on vacation. / In 'Fred Goes Ape', Fred and Barney take care of the zoo and feed the animals but then the gorillasaurus escapes. / In 'The Ghost Sitters', Pebbles, Barney and Dino babysit Mrs. Goldnugget's stuck up son, Bratrock, who leads them on a crazy chase, even assuming the guise of a cowboy skeleton ghost, Big Bronto Billy. / In 'Clownfoot', Clownfoot and Sampson join together to rob the First Bank of Bedrock. Betty and Wilma try to capture them. / In 'Mouse Cleaning', Fred buys a computer to fix a mouse problem he has, the computer has many ways to get rid of the mouse but they don't work. / In 'Quiet Please!', Fred gives Dino permission to stay in the house overnight but he needs to stay quiet, but the Cavemouse makes it hard for Dino to do this, Fred banishes them to Dino's doghouse. / In 'Birthday Boy', Freaky's birthday party is interrupted when Frank forbids Pebbles to visit. Pebbles arrives anyway but is disguised as a witch. Frank is happy to meet her but then he learns her true identity.
