The brutality of the military junta that devastated Argentina from 1976 to 1982 is seen through the eyes of young Nicolás. He was expelled from the home he shared with his mother's sister after his mother was accused by right-wing forces of photographing one of their political gatherings in Buenos Aires, and was subsequently murdered. Director Pablo Torre dedicated the film to the 30,000 people who "disappeared" under the junta.
