After a pawnshop is destroyed by arson, the owner accuses the fire department of not working aggressively enough to identify the culprit - little realizing that it is someone very close to him.

A Question of Loyalty

Nick is robbed by a passenger who first steals his taxi and then kidnaps Muggsy when she pursues him. Meanwhile, Clytemnestra realizes that the criminal is her cousin, and faces a crisis of conscience about what to do.

The Race Problem

Cash competes in a race with a coaster wagon built by Muggsy and Clytemnestra. However, when he falls off the wagon and breaks his leg, it is up to Muggsy to save the day.

T.P. and the Satans

Muggsy and Clytemnestra fear that Clytemnestra's brother T.P. has rejoined his old street gang, the Satans. In fact, T.P. has become involved with a different organization altogether - and when the Satans find out, they go after him.

Nick and Muggsy track down the hit-and-run driver who killed their friend's mother.

The Biggest Liar in Town

Nick and Muggsy set out to track down a masked bicycle thief in their neighborhood. Miller, one of the victims, is notorious for telling tall tales - thus complicating the hunt for the thief.

Muggsy and Nick's newly adopted dog is kidnapped by thugs who sell animals to a testing laboratory.

Li'l Man in Big Trouble

When Deek and his gang convince Li'l Man to join them in vandalizing the school, Muggsy tries to intervene and winds up being arrested by the police.

The Getaway

Muggsy grows jealous of the attention that Nick has been paying to Robin, a former girlfriend who has re-entered his life. Meanwhile, Nick discovers that Robin has become a junkie and he tries to help her.

Strangers on the Run

Muggsy encounters three runaways: Jackie, a Puerto Rican youth trying to hide his ethnic background; Manolo, another youth who is supposedly trying to shield Jackie from a gang; and O'Hara, an alcoholic gambler with an unexpected connection to Muggsy.

The Big Break

Muggsy and Nick find themselves caught up in the humorous antics of a love triangle involving bartender Marylou, her husband Dean, and a pool hustler called The Hulk, who is interested in Marylou.

Special Delivery

Nick gives Muggsy a $5 weekly allowance after he finds a lucrative new source of income delivering "Mexican art objects" in his taxi - unaware that he is actually participating in illegal activity.
