The Contract

Jón Hjaltalín, the mayor of a small West Icelandic town, tries to buy an old trawler from the Icelandic bank and insurance company, using his brother Torfi's fame as a captain.

Strike

A year later fishermen are on a strike and the country is in disrepair. Harpa and Grímur are caught between a rock and a hard place and have to choose to either become strikebreakers or drown in debt.

Cold War

The two couples, alongside Jón Hjaltalín, resort to desperate measures to fix the catch quota system according to their own needs. Meanwhile, the struggle for ownership of the fish continues in the municipality.

Mayday

Smári, an investigating journalist from Reykjavík, is now working on an article about Harpa and searches for clues regarding her relationship with Jón Hjaltalín.

The Witch of the West

Harpa and Grímur go to see the prime minister in hopes of increasing their quota so they can sustain their fishing enterprise. Meanwhile, Tinna returns to the town with her own agenda.

Inside Out Undies

Harpa and Grímur's marriage hangs by a thread. Harpa sends Einar and Freydís around the country in search for smaller vessels while her and Grímur work through their issues. However, Smári is still investigating Harpa.

Kings and Queens

The team meets up to settle their affairs over too many drinks. Jón comes up with new legislation to ensure the company's future.

Iceland

The reality of Grímur's fate begins to settle in with Harpa, leading her to make a drastic decision. Tinna worries that her choice to help Smári will hurt her after all. The town is left to deal with the fallout of Harpa's actions.
