The wombles purchase a mixing machine as a welcome home present for Madame Cholet, who is coming back from her holiday in France. They also decide to bake a cake for her, but they all know that Tobermory isn't as good as cooking as her.

The Wombles find an old clock, which Tobermory changes into a weighing machine. Orinoco is shamed into exercising as everyone thinks he's fat.
