Stacy Jones reopens Shining Time Station, after being closed for several years.

Tanya meets Mister Conductor for the first time and become friends with him. Matt learns to overcome his fear and realizes that he should not be afraid of Harry. A local man named Horace Schemer is revealed to be the new owner of the station's jukebox.

S1 • E3
Stacy makes an error on the train schedule. This incident causes a train passenger to miss out on his train ride, and he gets very upset. Matt, Tanya and Mister Conductor assist Stacy and seriously inform her that people often mess up, as long as they learn from their errors.

S1 • E4
Mister Conductor shows the kids that a lot of nice things can be designed with a ball of string. The kids use it to design decorations and assist Schemer tie his shoes.

S1 • E5
Matt and Tanya do a puppet show. It is not successful at first, but with the assistance of Harry, Stacy and Mister Conductor, the kids learn that they should always try their best and not quit on their goals.

The kids are sad because Harry could not take them fishing. Stacy cheers them up and tells them not to allow this disappointment to ruin their day.

Matt wants to read a book, but Tanya wants him to play. They get into an argument. They subsequently learn that they can do different things and still be friends to each other.

Schemer thinks that little jobs (like cleaning up the station) are not important. This thought causes him to have some problems and he later learns to take more responsibility.

Mister Conductor refuses to speak to Harry because he thinks Harry will not enjoy him. Matt and Tanya encourage Mister Conductor to prepare a surprise birthday party for Harry.

Matt and Tanya learn about the importance of being careful in order to avoid serious accidents.

Matt and Tanya learn to appreciate old people and realize that seniors have a lot to share with youths.

Schemer enjoys being a prankster on people at the station. When one of his pranks backfires, he learns that some times are better than others to do pranks.

Matt and Tanya find a saxophone in the station's lost and found. The kids hope that if the owner does not claim it in time, they can keep it. Matt and Tanya soon realize that she has lost the necklace that was given to her by her grandmother.

Schemer wants to turn Harry's workshop into a snack bar. He learns that the workshop is very important to the station when his jukebox breaks down and seriously becomes aware that Harry cannot mend the jukebox if he does not own the workshop.

S1 • E15
While Stacy is absent, Schemer buys many jukebox items and transforms the station into an amusement park. Later, Stacy gets into trouble with J. B. King who plans to close the station for good.

The station has a reduced train schedule and everybody is concerned that the station is being forced to close for good. Midge Smoot arrives and seriously informs them how the station is very important to them.

S1 • E17
Schemer accidentally uses cocoa powder rather than chili powder in a sandwich spread recipe for the mayor of East Shemp. The mayor demands a new version of it by lunchtime, so Stacy and the kids assist Schemer in preparing the sandwich spread.

S1 • E18
Schemer talks Matt and Tanya into going on a train ride without telling anybody. This incident causes Stacy and Harry to worry about them. The kids later learn that they always need to tell an adult where they will be going for their destination.

S1 • E19
Everybody camps out at the station at night. Schemer uses the occasion to frighten everyone, but his plan backfires and he turns out to be the person who is afraid of the dark.

S1 • E20
J. B. King Esquire announces that the station will close for good, but he later decides to let it permanently stay open due to his beloved popular juggling circus clown stopping by there very often and learns that Mister Conductor resides there.
