Jon and his hard as nails drivers haul some of the worlds largest loads across vast distances around Australia. One slip in these extreme conditions can end in disaster. MegaTruckers will follow Jon and his drivers as they make these highly stressful mega moves from start to finish across vast distances in the Outback. Their loads are the biggest ever in Australia within a super-tight time frame. Follow Jon as he battles to bring in business, manages a $40 million fleet and copes with the demands of a young family. All while holding off his competitors.

Caterpillar D11T & Electrcal Switchroom

Heavy Haulage Australia move a 930Hp, 115tonne, Caterpillar D11T bulldozer, 820Km from Toowoomba to Blackwater, and in Brisbane, a local move for a one million dollar electrical switch room.

Tunnel Boring Machine & Coal Wagons

Moving a 181 tonne bearing for a 24 million Dollar tunnel boring machine from Brisbane Harbour to Toowong, and coal wagons from Brisbane to Rockhampton, 696 Km away.

Queensland Locomotives and a Rebuild

The truckers move expensive rail locomotives 4500Km from Brisbane to Perth. With a slew of problems and breakdowns on a dodgy truck and trailer it could fail. Jon buys a scrap truck and demands it be rebuilt to perfection in a short time

Bandit 4, Excavators and TBM

As a reward, Jon gives Wayne Bandit 4, a Kenworth T908, with an in line six cylinder diesel engine pushing out 620HP. Another piece of the tunnel boring machine gives a headache. Wayne and Keith nearly come to blows on the excavator job.

ZX870 Excavator and Fish Belly Gantry

Jon's guys move a ZX870 mining excavator from the Port of Melbourne 3800km to Jabiru. In Brisbane a fish belly gantry move from Brisbane to Hemmant stalls on the motorway due to tar works, despite all the correct permits being in place.

Catamaran and Million Dollar Trailer

Jon is called on to move a catamaran across town after another carrier failed the customer. Heavy Haulage Australia must pass a stringent safety audit to gain a 96 million dollar contract, and the pressure is high, as Jon has already bought a brand new million dollar trailer in anticipation..

Caterpillar 993 and Gas Compressors

The crew move a Caterpillar 993 from Brisbane 3400Km to a Port Darwin Shipyard. At almost 180 Tonnes, Dave only just makes it through a weigh point. In Brisbane, Jon leaves his wife, who has only just given birth to their son three hours before, to micro manage the compressor load. This pushes Freddy over the edge and he quits.

PAU Megamove

The pressure is on to move a shipload of 14 Pre Assembled Units of the Gas Gathering Contract from the Brisbane docks to Heavy Haulage Australia's holding depot 35Km away. As usual Jon almost provokes a strike, but after a heartfelt talk the guys get on with the job.
