The Deserted Valley

A valley is about to be flooded to provide a reservoir. This presents archaeologists with the opportunity to study the area before this happens revealing a history going back thousands of years.

S1 • E2

The Lost Village

Continuing from Episode 1, there is now an investigation of the buildings and what is below them as more of the history of the soon-to-be-flooded valley is uncovered.

S1 • E3

The Turning Wheel

Continuing from episode 2, the history of occupation in the valley is traced back to the middle ages through pottery and other artifacts and some documentary evidence.

S1 • E4

The Final Harvest

In the final programme we are taken back to pre-history with the discovery of flints and other artifacts that show the valley was farmed and hunted thousands of years ago.
