An ambulance explosion leaves Patrick injured and the ER down a doctor. They also need to identify the women who was badly burned during the explosion. Spinelli ends up in the E.R. after shooting himself in the foot and Jason takes the wrap for the incident so Spinelli won't be charged. Robin befriends an HIV Positive Expectant mother. Maxie and Coop get caught in a compromising position by her father.

Maxie discovers she has a staph infection as a result of her and Coop's time in the supply closet. Patrick deals with a very interesting patient. Epiphany is upset when she learns that Stan is trying to organize a strike with hospital workers. Jason is assigned to community service at the hospital as a result of taking the blame for Spinelli's accident.
